I am Mamie Julie – mamie meaning granny in french. For those who don’t know me, you will wonder why my friends are so cruel using this nickname… But for almost all nicknames, there are reasons… I am someone who organizes, takes decision for a group, maybe uncounsiously leads without wanting to, plans faaaar in advance, loooves moaning about everything and don’t care if nobody listens to, likes cooking, drinking (yes!), talking to anybody in particular, stays on the phone talking about nothing, reads in my bed, watches crappy series on TV, does, well, everything your grandma does! So now you know what I am talking about.

Another thing to know about me is that I am french (if you didn’t guess from my writings) and really proud of my region even if some think that there is nothing to be. I am from Burgundy (french region) where all the good stuffs come from: lovely red and white wines, cheeses, mustard, beef meat. My hometown: Saint Aubin en Charolais (yes it exists and we are 350 to live there) is lost in South Burgundy in the Saone et loire french departement in the middle of the Charolais known for having one of the best quality of beef meat in France. But I will talk to you about it later.

After having studied in Paris, Marseille and worked in Toulouse, I now live in London in England, United Kingdom where I work for a bank. I am a software engineer. So I am a girly geek… and yes I have glasses BUT I don’t have greasy hairs. 😀
